North Korean Nukes, Israel Nuclear Submarines

Do we have anything to be concerned about?

Vice President Biden gives the Israelis the green light to invade Iran with an airstrike against their nuclear facilities. President Obama says ‘absolutely not’ the next day. Iranian President Ahmadinejad
tells the world that if anything penetrates their airspace, the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz will stop suddenly, for starters. The US Joint Chief of Staff officially admit that the Iranians can actually do that for at least a short period of time, or perhaps for quite some length of time.

No one knows what will happen once missiles and jets and weapons of all types start flying around in the powder keg that is the Middle East. Tanks and elite troops are poised to bear down Israel on all sides, looking for an opening to put an end to the Jewish homeland. The US has promised to defend Israel’s borders. Israeli submarines armed with nukes are transiting the Suez Canal toward the Persian Gulf.

Perhaps we have quite a bit to be concerned about.

And that’s not taking into account the mysterious machinations of North Korea. They have nuclear bombs. They have tested them. They are on the brink of an ICBM that can reach… where? Hawaii? Alaska? Los Angeles? Detroit?

But they really can’t have a lot of these weapons. At least not yet. However, they do have a huge, fanatical, multi-million man army and lots and lots of smaller missiles that can reach and overrun Seoul, the capitol of South Korea, in a matter of hours. Although both South Korea and the US have substantial military assets on line there, everyone agrees that the first onslaught could be deterred only by the quick use of American nuclear weapons, which we say we do not have in South Korea (bet me).

Will it happen? Will the world get wrapped up in the next conflagration of war and it’s attendant food shortages in the near future?

Of course I don’t know. But it’s not looking good. I think it’s just a question of sooner or later. And I don’t think that even ‘later’ could be that far from now.

What is certain is that there is an economic meltdown in progress that will sap the financial reserves of most people around the world. It has no end in sight, and mainstream economic media is starting to admit that it takes people spending money to get the economy going again. Unfortunately, jobless people, and people with no credit left, will not be spending significantly anytime soon. We fought our way out of the last depression by producing things. Right now, we do not have the ability to produce very much, as a nation. We have fallen from being a manufacturing exporter to an agricultural exporter with a huge trade deficit.

Who wants to hear all this stuff? No one. But if you can stand looking into the light for a few moments, you will probably come to the conclusion that now is the time to act on any plans you have to stock some emergency stores. And if you have no plans, take a look at this site, starting with Food Basics and Water Basics.

Then, worst case scenario, you have some extra food and water on hand in case of a natural disaster. I call that one of the few win-win options left in the world today.

I wish I could make the rest of our community see what is happening, every time I try to tell them I end up looking like a nutjob because I get so passionate about the survival of my loved ones. what to do? Keep the faith with my Immediate family and do the best I can with the others around me.
thank you for your website, it has been an immeasurable help in committing my wife and kids into food storage and sustainability, although we still have a long way to go, I know we are better prepared than probably 95% of the population. may God be with you, and all your weavils be garlic flavoured :).
